Job summary

Rotolo Consultants Inc. seeks a Field Project Manager to support construction and maintenance field operations, organizing and preparing project documents, submittals, schedules, and cost analyses while driving field production and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in construction management or related field, are proficient with AutoDesk Forma or Procore, and can read blueprints. Excellent organization and multitasking are required for on-site success.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or higher in construction-related field required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoDesk Forma or Procore essential; ability to read blueprints and contract docs.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and communicate via documentation, phone, and in person.

Responsibilities

  • Read specifications and blueprints to determine construction requirements.
  • Prepare submittal documents, cost analyses, and schedules.
  • Estimate material or worker requirements for jobs.
  • Supervise and coordinate field teams and subcontractors.

Job description

AS A FIELD PROJECT MANAGER

You will assist both construction and maintenance field operations with organization and preparation of documents for respective projects and project correspondence/communication. You must be able to generate supplemental documents (ex: drawings, schedules, spreadsheets, cost comparisons, project submittals, & change orders) along with driving production in the field and tending to client needs swiftly.

FIELD PROJECT MANAGER DUTIES INCLUDE

the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
  • Preparing and processing memorandums, submittal document preparation, spreadsheets for cost analysis and breakdowns.
  • Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
  • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction, maintenance, or subcontracted workers in the field
  • Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
  • Coordinate work activities with other site activities.
  • Order or requisition materials, supplies, or equipment.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
  • Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
  • Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
  • Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Business development activities to help grow business with high profile clients
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Drafting/Design or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient with AutoDesk Forma, Procore, or the like
  • Able to read and understand project blueprints and contract documents
  • General understanding of the construction management process and construction project life cycle
  • Be able to take criticism, as well as communicate effectively via documentation (i.e.: emails, drawings), phone, and in person
  • Possess general knowledge and understanding of plumbing, concrete, earthwork, and landscaping
  • Must possess great organizational skills and be able to multitask and self-manage yourself with several tasks at once. Be able to prioritize and maintain a work schedule
COMPENSATION / BENEFITS
  • $70,000 - $90,000 annually
