Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Chicago, IL is seeking a New Grad Construction Representative I for Summer 2027. You will support both field and office activities during construction, helping the project team deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The role requires an associates or bachelor's in CM and up to 2 years of related experience; NICET CMIT preference. You will read plans, coordinate testing, manage documentation, and assist in resolving field issues with the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• Two years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in CM-related field.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and document control basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction site field and office support during projects.
• Assist Resident Engineer and project team to ensure conformance to plans.
• Coordinate quality control inspections and testing.
• Review contractor daily reports and as-built mark-ups; prepare progress reports.
• Maintain project data, drawings, specifications, and reports.
