Job summary

Velocity Constructors, Inc. is hiring Craftsmen and Laborers to join our field teams building water and wastewater infrastructure across Colorado. You will help safely and efficiently complete projects, loading materials, operating equipment, and supporting excavation and compaction while learning new skills.

• Support excavation, backfilling and compaction.
• Experienced Craftsmen may work more independently in piping, carpentry and concrete.

What You'll Do

Reporting directly to the Project Superintendent, you'll work alongside the field team to help safely and efficiently build Velocity's water and wastewater projects. Depending on your experience and project needs, your work may include operating and maintaining construction equipment; preparing jobsites; loading and unloading materials; assisting skilled craft workers; assembling and dismantling temporary structures; and supporting excavation, backfilling and compaction activities. Experienced Craftsmen may also work more independently and apply established skills in areas such as process piping, carpentry and concrete to complete assigned construction activities.

Working Conditions

This is an active construction position and requires the ability to perform strenuous physical work, lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds, navigate ladders, stairs and steep slopes, and work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

Some travel may be required depending on project location, but our crews are home on weekends and holidays. Project locations vary. Travel and overnight stays may be required based on project assignments.

Compensation & Structure

Full-Time | Non-Exempt $25-$33 per hour DOE
