Job summary

Velocity Constructors, Inc. in Colorado is seeking experienced Pipe & Equipment Installers to build water and wastewater infrastructure.

You will install buried and above-ground piping, set process pumps and treatment equipment, and work as part of a crew focused on safety and quality. Reporting to the Project Superintendent, you’ll read the jobsite, plan installations, and support field teams on active projects across Colorado, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing pipe and/or process equipment in the construction industry is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with piping systems, pumps, treatment equipment or similar mechanical installations.
• Safety-first mindset and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install buried and above-ground piping (PVC, ductile iron, steel and copper).
• Install process pumps, chemical-feed equipment and other water/wastewater treatment plant equipment.
• Read the jobsite, plan your work and help complete installations safely and efficiently.
• Work alongside Craftsmen and Laborers to keep projects moving.
• Perform general field and labor duties when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Follow Velocity safety requirements and established construction procedures.
• Take on additional field responsibilities as project needs require.

What You'll Do

Reporting directly to the Project Superintendent, you'll perform piping and process-equipment installation on water and wastewater construction projects throughout Colorado.

• Installing both buried and above-ground PVC, ductile iron, steel and copper piping

• Installing process pumps, chemical-feed equipment and other water/wastewater treatment plant equipment

• Reading the jobsite, planning your work and helping complete installations safely and efficiently

• Working alongside Craftsmen and Laborers to keep projects moving

• Performing general field and labor duties when needed

• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area

• Following Velocity safety requirements and established construction procedures

• Taking on additional field responsibilities as project needs require

Working Conditions

This is an active construction position and requires the ability to perform strenuous physical work, lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds, navigate ladders, stairs and steep slopes, and work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.

Some travel may be required depending on project location, but our crews are home on weekends and holidays. Project locations vary. Travel and overnight stays may be required based on project assignments.
