Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in the United States is seeking a SuperintendentIntern/Co‑op to learn the full lifecycle of a project from the field perspective. You’ll work with experienced superintendents to understand scheduling, safety, and QA while contributing to on-site activities.

You’ll gain hands-on experience on active job sites, attend meetings, review drawings, and develop practical skills in plan execution, trades coordination, and progress reporting through mentorship from ARCO’s Learning and

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program; other related majors considered
• Driver’s License
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Previous Co‑op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to field operations from site mobilization to project closeout.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and site inspections.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and progress monitoring.
• Observe quality inspections and ensure work meets plans and ARCO standards.
• Assist with documenting daily site activities and progress photos.
• Attend subcontractor meetings, owner walkthroughs, and planning discussions.
