Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks current/former interns to support construction site field and office activities during project execution. You will assist the Resident Engineer, manage project data, and help coordinate testing and inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

This role emphasizes hands-on inspection support during construction. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree in related fields, plus relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in relevant field and 2 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs office management engineer work including preparing meeting agendas/minutes and tracking logs for RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and other deliverables.
• Assists with construction field tasks to ensure conformance to plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Coordinates and schedules quality control inspections.
• Observes on-site material testing and coordinates testing/monitoring services.
• Performs mathematical calculations for material quantity payments.
• Reads and interprets construction drawings and identifies discrepancies.
• Reviews contractor's daily reports for accuracy and progress.
