Job summary

JHL Constructors seeks a Field Engineer to support the field management team with document control, change management, record keeping, scheduling, quality control, safety, and stormwater management on a project in Issaquah, WA. The role collaborates with the Superintendent and Project Management to ensure reliable material deliveries and adherence to the project schedule.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, reviewing submittals, assisting with field layout, and coordinating with trade

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or minimum two years in civil construction.
• Maintain OSHA 30 (minimum) and refresher training.
• Attend training for operational software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents.
• Define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-built drawings and logs.
• Develop and maintain document control logs – submittals, RFI, ASI, change management, etc.
• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Thoroughly review submittals against the contract documents.
• Prepare, review, and distribute RFI’s and advance review of subcontractor RFIs.
• Assist with project closeout – obtain warranties and O&M manuals.
