Job summary

Barin Group is seeking a Project Engineer to support field operations on industrial construction projects in Moses Lake, WA. You will maintain documentation, review drawings, manage RFIs, and coordinate with project teams to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals.
  • Working knowledge of construction standards, codes, and industry practices applicable to assigned projects.
  • Ability to identify potential field conflicts and communicate issues proactively to project leadership.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and construction management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project team members.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of field purchases and project records.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work schedules in collaboration with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Coordinate and schedule equipment, materials, and deliveries to support project schedules and field operations.
  • Monitor submittals and shop drawings to ensure timely review, approval, and distribution.
  • Maintain and submit accurate, timely project reports, documentation, and required forms.
  • Maintain and continuously update project drawing sets to reflect current revisions and field information.
  • Review and analyze construction documents and drawings to identify potential field issues, conflicts, or discrepancies between contract documents and field conditions.
  • Communicate field conditions, document discrepancies, and potential project impacts to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, design team, and other appropriate stakeholders.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings for general compliance with contract documents and project requirements.
  • Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs) in coordination with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Assist with project documentation, quantity tracking, procurement coordination, and other field engineering activities as required.
  • Provide estimating and preconstruction support as needed.
  • Support project closeout activities, including documentation, punch list coordination, and turnover requirements.
  • Promote compliance with company safety standards, project requirements, and quality expectations.

Compensation:

$35–$45 per hour, based on relevant industrial construction experience, qualifications, and demonstrated project engineer capabilities. This position requires at least 1-2 years of industrial construction experience.
