Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator in Wisconsin to perform estimates and cost analyses for construction projects across the lifecycle. The role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and the procurement team to develop accurate OPCCs and design-build estimates.

You will support scheduling, quality control, and project documentation while collaborating with field teams. Travel may be required for project sites and pre-bid activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and researching costs.
• Prepares or assists in Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build projects.
• Receives and reviews pricing from project managers or procurement against OPCCs.
• Coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers for current pricing and bidder interest.
• Participates in pre-bid job walks and Bid-Day quote tabulations.
• Supervises and directs project activities as assigned.
• Supports field and project personnel with technical guidance and documentation.
