Job summary

UFP Site Built is seeking a detail-driven Estimator to turn blueprints into accurate material estimates and compelling proposals. You will work with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth handoffs from estimate to delivery, applying building codes and product specs to solve challenges.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in construction estimating, can perform precise take-offs, and is proficient with estimating tools or Excel. Join a collaborative team with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in single-family, multi-family or commercial construction estimating.
• Strong ability to perform manual material take-offs.
• Familiarity with Planswift, Timberline, Bluebeam or Excel for estimating.
• Hands-on framing or construction experience is a plus.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and building codes.
• Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural and engineered drawings to create precise material estimates (lumber, siding, trim, hardware, etc.).
• Prepare and submit competitive proposals that win projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth execution from estimate to delivery.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving using building codes and product specs.
• Assist fellow estimators and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate clearly across departments and with clients to ensure alignment and success.
