Job summary

UFP Site Built in Colorado is seeking a detail-focused Estimator to turn architectural drawings into precise material estimates (lumber, siding, trim, hardware) and to prepare competitive proposals for projects from start to delivery.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in construction estimating, can perform manual take-offs, and is proficient with Planswift, Timberline, Bluebeam or Excel. Framing or hands-on construction experience is a big plus, with strong math and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in single-family, multi-family or commercial construction estimating.
• Strong ability to perform manual material take-offs.
• Familiarity with Planswift, Timberline, Bluebeam or Excel for estimating.
• Hands-on framing or construction experience is a big plus.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and building codes.
• Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural and engineered drawings to create precise material estimates (lumber, siding, trim, hardware, etc.).
• Prepare and submit competitive proposals that win projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth execution from estimate to delivery.
• Provide technical support and problem-solving using building codes and product specs.
• Assist fellow estimators and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate clearly across departments and with clients to ensure alignment and success.
