Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced estimator to manage the successful estimating, bidding, planning, and financial performance of construction projects in Idaho. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, develop competitive bids, and oversee projects from award through closeout.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, coordinating with field operations, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of construction estimating and/or project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and project documents to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; develop competitive bid proposals.
• Analyze project risks, productivity rates, and scheduling requirements; maintain pricing databases.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Foremen, and Operations to ensure project goals are met; build client relationships.
