Job summary

DAP Construction Management LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding for commercial, industrial, and government projects. The role requires reviewing plans and specs, performing quantity takeoffs, and developing labor, material, and equipment costs.

You will coordinate with management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate, competitive estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating, preconstruction, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Experience developing labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and supplier costs.
• Experience soliciting, reviewing, and comparing subcontractor and supplier proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and bid documents to determine project requirements and scope.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed estimates based on available information.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and estimating assumptions; propose value engineering where appropriate.
• Assemble complete bid packages for various procurement methods and support bid reviews.
