Job summary

Hudson Meridian Construction Group in New Jersey is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our Technical Services team. You will calculate cost estimates for diverse projects in the Tri-State area, performing quantity take-offs from drawings and specs, and preparing detailed estimates under supervision.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in construction estimating, a Bachelor's degree in CM, architecture, or engineering, strong MS Office and estimating skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction Estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related discipline or equivalent.
• Strong Microsoft Office and estimating skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of NYC/NJ/CT area construction and design environment.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction design drawings and specs to determine scope and quantity take-off.
• Creating and executing detailed quantity take-offs based on project scope.
• Making estimates where there are no predetermined standards.
• Inform supervisor of inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or databases.
• Preparing and organizing material takeoffs for transition to the Chief Estimator.
