Job summary

Coastline Concrete & Infrastructure LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial concrete projects, including flatwork, foundations, and structural concrete. You will review drawings, takeoffs, and bid documents, while coordinating with project teams to develop winning bids.

The role requires 3–5+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with Excel and estimating software, and the ability to work on-site with field leadership and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial concrete construction.
• Experience estimating concrete flatwork, foundations, and structural concrete.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial concrete projects (flatwork, foundations, structural concrete).
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to understand scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork, foundations, slabs, and related materials.
• Estimate labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop competitive bids and participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate with project management and field leadership to evaluate methods and requirements.
• Maintain estimating records and bid documentation.
• Support handoffs to operations after successful bids.

About the Opportunity

Coastline Concrete & Infrastructure (CCI) is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial concrete construction projects, including flatwork, foundations, and structural concrete. We're looking for someone who understands concrete construction, takes ownership of the estimating process, and can effectively evaluate project costs, materials, labor, and equipment.

What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial concrete projects, including flatwork, foundations, and structural concrete.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork, foundations, slabs, and related materials.
• Estimate labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.

• Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Develop competitive bids and proposals while maintaining estimating accuracy.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid reviews.
• Coordinate with project management and field leadership to evaluate construction methods, productivity, and project requirements.
• Support project handoffs to operations following successful bids.
• Maintain estimating records, historical cost data, and bid documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial concrete construction.
• Experience estimating concrete flatwork, foundations, and structural concrete strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, labor, equipment, and production rates.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing detailed cost estimates.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent construction experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally visit active construction sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and navigate uneven construction surfaces during site visits.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during site visits.
