Company name not disclosed is seeking an experienced construction estimator to develop complete tender packages for Australian projects. The role involves evaluating drawings, specs and schedules, preparing quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates across materials, labour, plant and subcontractors.

You will manage pricing sources, apply allowances for risk and contingency, highlight gaps, and support management with clear tender narratives and documentation.

Qualifications

• Five years of estimating, quantity surveying or tendering experience.
• Ability to read architectural, structural and services drawings and specs.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, trade scopes, quantities, rate build-ups, sequencing.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to write clarifications and tender narratives.
• Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam/CostX etc.).

Responsabilités

• Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender conditions to understand scope.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities and trade breakdowns.
• Create detailed estimates covering materials, labour, plant, subcontractors and preliminaries.
• Apply allowances for overheads, risk, contingency and margin.
• Identify information gaps and raise clarifications.
• Maintain tender revision registers and incorporate addenda.
• Prepare complete tender packages with pricing schedules and documentation.
• Validate calculations and present estimates for management review.
