Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking an Estimator to interpret contract documents and provide accurate cost estimates for door openings, hardware and related hardware packages on construction projects.

The role requires reviewing plans with General Contractors, interpreting specifications, and pricing jobs using cost data files. Proficiency in plan reading and MS Office is essential, with a focus on detail, accuracy, and meeting bid deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading building plans and specifications.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Understanding of door, frame and hardware applications per UL/fire/building codes.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret contract documents and prepare cost estimates for openings and hardware.
• Review plans with contractors and suppliers to determine competitive pricing.
• Enter data into cost systems and price jobs based on cost files.
• Perform complete door and hardware takeoffs and costing for projects.
• Support team in bid preparation and project costing.
