Job summary

CBX Solutions, LLC is seeking an Estimator to interpret contract documents for construction projects. You will perform takeoffs on doors and hardware, price jobs using cost files in Comsense, and collaborate with contractors on bid strategies. Strong math, planning, and communication skills are essential.

The role involves reading building plans, interpreting specifications, and ensuring accurate labor-cost estimates while supporting pre-bid activities and post-bid reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience in construction or building materials.
• Accurate mathematical skills.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Blueprint/plan reading and interpretation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of door, frame and hardware applications per UL, fire/building codes, ADA.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with Contractor including the hard bid processes.
• Reviews scope of work with General Contractor pre/post bid; hardware packages.
• Performs labor cost interpretation based on scope of work.
• Receives plans and specifications; checks for completeness and deadlines.
• Enters information into Comsense system and prices job based on cost files.
• Responsible for door and hardware takeoffs and costing all parts.
