Job summary

JF Construction Services is seeking a capable Estimator to manage the full estimate process for diverse construction projects. The role requires solid trade knowledge, strong contractor outreach, and reliable, detail-oriented work.

You will prepare estimates, qualify subcontractor bids, and coordinate with senior estimators while using standard estimating tools. The position emphasizes deadlines, accuracy, and consistent communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Working knowledge of multiple trades commonly encountered in project estimates.
• Experience qualifying subcontractor bids and scopes of work.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Strong verbal communication skills for contractor outreach and follow-up.
• Ability to manage multiple active estimates simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate estimates for construction projects across relevant trades and disciplines.
• Qualify subcontractor scope and pricing, ensuring appropriate coverage and competitive bids.
• Reach out to and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the bid process.
• Utilize department estimating tools and software to produce organized, consistent estimate packages.
• Coordinate with Lead Estimators and Sr. Estimators on scope questions and project challenges.
• Meet project deadlines and communicate proactively when timelines are at risk.
