Job summary

JF Construction Services in Minneapolis seeks an experienced Estimator to lead the full estimate process with solid trade knowledge and reliable execution. You will know the work, know the tools, and engage contractors effectively to drive competitive bids.

You will qualify subcontractor scopes, manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, and use estimating software to create organized packages while coordinating with Lead/Sr. estimators to address project challenges and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating or a closely related field.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Strong verbal communication skills for contractor outreach.
• Ability to manage multiple active estimates simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate estimates for construction projects across trades.
• Qualify subcontractor scope and pricing to ensure coverage and competitive bids.
• Reach out to and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Utilize estimating tools and software to produce organized estimate packages.
• Coordinate with Lead Estimators and Sr. Estimators on scope questions.
• Meet project deadlines and communicate when timelines are at risk.
• Continuously build knowledge of trades, materials, and methods relevant to projects.
