The role emphasizes technical competence, reliability, and strong communication with subcontractors; you'll work with the estimating department to deliver accurate packages and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Knowledge of trades and project scopes.
• Ability to qualify subcontractor bids and scopes of work.
• Experience engaging subcontractors and suppliers.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate estimates for construction projects across relevant trades and disciplines
• Qualify subcontractor scope and pricing, ensuring coverage and competitive bids
• Reach out to and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the bid process
• Utilize estimating tools and software to produce organized estimate packages
• Coordinate with Lead Estimators and Sr. Estimators on scope questions, trade gaps, or project-specific challenges
• Meet project deadlines and communicate proactively when timelines are at risk
• Continuously build knowledge of trades, materials, and construction methods relevant to company project types
