Job summary

ALLY Construction Services in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced Estimator to price projects from $100K to $30M, develop bids, and coordinate with architects, clients, subcontractors, and operations staff.

Requires 5+ years in estimating, a Construction Engineering/Management degree, and willingness to travel regionally. Proficiency in MS Office, Blue Beam, or Premier is a plus. Salary $100K-$120K with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or Management or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Adherence to ALLY’s employment policies.

• Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record as a condition of employment.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and drawings to ensure complete estimates.
• Identify omissions and ensure full scope in estimates.
• Prepare conceptual estimates, budgets, and pricing analyses for bids.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Prepare Lump Sum and Time and Materials bids for projects.
• Assist Project Managers with subcontractor bidding and input.
• Develop project schedules from subcontract input.
• Maintain cost databases and bidder qualification data.
• Stay current with materials, pricing trends, and market conditions.
• Attend client meetings to discuss estimates and resolve pricing questions.
• Travel regionally up to three days at a time as needed.
