RoadSafe Traffic Systems in the United States seeks an Estimator- Construction to develop and submit quotes for state and local agency bids. You will work with contractors to cultivate relationships, negotiate post-bid awards, and drive profitable project outcomes.

In this exempt role, you will collaborate with Branch and Market Managers, review schedules, and refine estimation processes to ensure competitive and realistic margins.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
• Understanding of job costing, bid-to-actual results, and variance analysis.
• Experience with Heavy Bid or equivalent.
• Ability to build a project to determine estimation approach.
• Knowledge of industry-specific lines of business and state specs for traffic control and protection.
• Familiarity with equipment and standard cost structures.
• Strong communication to articulate scope, cost, and margin in bid reviews.
• Ability to analyze market trends, labor and material costs for bids.
• Active involvement in industry through trade associations or coalitions, especially with state DOTs.
• Strong financial acumen, including balance sheets and P&L.
• Sales training and customer-facing experience is an advantage.
• Degree in Construction Management, Financial Management, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Branch Management to shift from price-driven to value-driven proposals.
• Build customer relationships through in-person meetings and engagements.
• Review project schedules and provide feedback to BM/MM/COO.
• Develop bidding strategies with BM/MM and Operations.
• Lead bid review calls and cash flow analysis for large projects.
• Ensure compliance with state/local tax laws and pre-qualifications.
• Refine cost estimation processes with Sr Estimator and Operations.
• Submit monthly Bid Pipeline reports.
• Involve additional estimators when size/complexity exceeds capacity.
• Represent the company at industry events and build networking opportunities.
