Job summary

Arrive Alive Traffic Control, part of AWP Safety, is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate bids for traffic control projects. You will analyze plans, perform takeoffs, and generate proposals, while staying compliant with FDOT/MUTCD standards.

The role emphasizes client communication, cost analysis, and collaboration with operations to ensure smooth handoffs after award. Ideal candidates read traffic control plans, have MS Office and estimating software experience, and are motivated to win

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend traffic control plans.
• Knowledge of MUTCD and FDOT standards.
• Quantitative plan takeoffs and cost estimation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Analyze construction plans and traffic control drawings.
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Identify missing or unclear information and flag for clarification.
• Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs using takeoff data.
• Generate formal quotes and proposals using estimating software.
• Adjust pricing based on scope, location, and client needs.
• Track bid deadlines and submit proposals on time.
• Communicate with clients and contractors to clarify project details.
