Job summary

Niles Industrial Coatings is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Operations team in Michigan. The Estimator will lead estimating and pre-construction activities, build relationships with subcontractors and clients, and develop accurate project estimates to support bidding, awards, and execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience with both competitive bid projects and conceptual budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, industry regulations, and project management practices.
• Understanding of financial practices and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate, manage, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Bid development and bid package preparation.
• Review drawings and specifications and request additional information as needed.
• Develop preconstruction schedules and bid timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors throughout the bidding process.
• Lead estimator-to-project manager handoff meetings and support project managers during execution.
