Senior Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity for a construction Estimator to join an established regional main contractor based in Southampton. The business operates out of several offices across the UK, with a huge presence across the south coast. They undertake projects across a range of sectors which include education, light industrial, commercial, social housing and healthcare valuing up to £20mil.

As a result of continued expansion in the region, they're now looking to expand the pre-construction team with an additional Senior Estimator.

About the role of Senior Estimator:

As Senior Estimator, you will be working closely with the rest of the pre-construction team to compile competitive bids. You will be able to tender projects independently and offer assistance to the junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Estimator:

• Work from first principles
• Independently tender projects valuing up to £20mil.
• Work collaboratively with Surveying and Operational teams to produce competitive tenders
• Support and mentor junior members of staff

Key Requirements for this Senior Estimator role:

• Track record of successfully tendering schemes valued up to £20mil
• Experience with competitive tendering and negotiated schemes
• Experience with single and two-stage tenders.
• Live within a commutable distance to Southampton and be happy to travel to office and site when required
• Have the full right to work in the UK
