Seeking an experienced Pipe/Plumbing Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial plumbing and mechanical piping projects. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of NC plumbing/mechanical codes, construction documents, and estimating software, with the ability to develop complete project costs and communicate scope effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate plumbing and mechanical piping estimates using Quick Pen.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and verify estimate accuracy and completeness.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, general conditions, allowances, and alternates.
• Analyze project schedules, site conditions, and client requirements that impact cost.
• Prepare scopes of work, clarifications, and exclusions.
• Assist with final bid preparation and submission.
• Communicate bid scope and project requirements to customers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of current NC Plumbing and/or Mechanical Codes.
• Experience estimating commercial plumbing and mechanical piping projects.
• Proficiency with Quick Pen estimating software preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Field experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
