Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction estimator.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, or government construction projects and cost estimation.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with computer software estimating programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Develop standard hour and cost data and identify cost reductions.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and foremen to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates for vendor or subcontractor selection.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide buy vs. produce.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements for the project duration.
• Maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• Establish tendering process and conduct negotiations.

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position and offers a unique opportunity to be part of high-profile projects in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects in sectors such as federal, state, or government construction, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, higher education, K-12, concrete, labs, medical, office, retail, and religious. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial construction and cost estimation, with a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
• Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, or government construction, hospitality construction, civic, entertainment, healthcare, industrial, higher education, K-12, hospitality, concrete, labs, medical, office, retail, and religious projects.
• Proficient in cost estimation and industrial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with computer software estimating programs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
• In-depth understanding of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.
• Professional certification in construction estimation is a plus.
