Job summary

Greater Philadelphia Area-based Commercial General Contractor is seeking a Construction Estimator with 3+ years of experience to join the preconstruction team. You will develop estimates for ground-up, renovation, and tenant fit-out projects, perform takeoffs, and evaluate pricing from subs and vendors.

Ideal candidates will read drawings well, understand GMP and hard bids, and participate in value engineering while collaborating with PMs, owners, and architects on bids.

Qualifications

• Approximately three (3) years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating commercial building projects is required.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, laboratory, pharmaceutical, institutional, or critical infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of estimation methods and cost estimating principles.
• Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, SmartBid, WinEst, or similar.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
