Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a highly motivated Commercial Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team onsite. You will manage the complete estimating and bidding process from document review through final bid submission and turnover, collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate cost projections.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial estimating experience for a General Contractor, strong understanding of costs, pricing, and market trends, and proficiency with Excel,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience with a General Contractor strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, pricing, and market trends.
• Able to interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete estimating process for assigned commercial construction projects from conceptual development through final bid submission.
• Review project plans, specs, drawings, and contract documents to identify scope requirements and risks.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimating, pricing, bid summaries, and bid submissions.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members during bidding.
• Manage bid-day activities and ensure timely bid submissions.
• Prepare detailed budgets for negotiated, conceptual, and design-build projects.
• Analyze post-bid results for improving estimating accuracy and competitiveness.
• Coordinate project turnover from pre-construction to operations.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost information.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. This role will be responsible for managing the complete estimating and bidding process, from initial document review through final bid submission and project turnover. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience with a General Contractor and a strong understanding of construction costs, subcontractor pricing, market conditions, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete estimating process for assigned commercial construction projects from conceptual development through final bid submission.
• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documents to identify scope requirements and potential risks.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimating, pricing, bid summaries, and bid submissions.
• Solicite and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members throughout the bidding process.
• Manage bid-day activities and ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 Years Of Commercial Construction Estimating Experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working for a commercial General Contractor strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, unit pricing, labor rates, material costs, and market trends.
• Experience estimating commercial construction projects from conceptual through final bid stages.
• Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and ICE estimating software.
• Strong knowledge of estimating databases and cost management tools.
