Our well-respected construction firm near East Lake, Florida, is actively seeking a highly experienced Repair Estimator with a minimum of 10-15 years of in-depth knowledge within the bridge and road construction sectors.

As our Bridge Rehabilitation & Repair Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by accurately forecasting costs for a variety of bridge rehabilitation and repair initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

Responsibilities:

1. Thoroughly analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements.
2. Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for bridge rehabilitation and repair projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
3. Evaluate various repair methodologies and material options to optimize cost-effectiveness.
4. Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to management.
5. Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members throughout the bidding process.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
7. Assist with value engineering and cost control efforts.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 10-15 years of proven experience as an Estimator in the bridge and road construction industry.
2. Extensive experience specifically in estimating costs for bridge rehabilitation and repair projects.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
4. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficiency in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience will be considered.
8. Familiarity with local (Florida) construction practices and regulations is a plus.
