Job summary

BrightView is seeking an Estimator to review plans and prepare bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects in Orlando. This role focuses on take-offs, cost estimation, and presenting data to management, with emphasis on accuracy and supplier coordination.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, landscaping estimating experience, and proficiency with HCSS and On-Screen Take-Off, plus strong communication and organization skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in landscaping industry with estimating and managing landscape and irrigation projects.
• Proficiency with HCSS and On-Screen Take-Off; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, calculate, and compile take-off data for bid proposals.
• Prepare routine and detailed estimates for ancillary projects.
• Maintain current and accurate pricing from suppliers/subcontractors.
• Use standard estimation software to present information to management.

Job Summary

• The BVG Estimator reviews plans and prepares bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather, calculate, and compile take-off data for use in bid proposal estimates
• Prepare routine estimates and detailed cost estimates for ancillary projects under the supervision of the manager
• Maintain current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors
• Utilize standard estimate computer software to present information to management
• Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Prior experience in the landscaping industry, with estimating and managing landscape and irrigation projects
• Experience with HCSS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Proficiency with On-Screen Take-Off
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and perform in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as alaptop, acell phone, and printers/copiers
• Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of time
• Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur

Work Environment:

• This role works in an indoor office work environment.
