Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• 1. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for projects.
• 2. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• 3. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• 4. Preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• 5. Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• 6. Reviewing material and labor requirements, deciding whether it's more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• 7. Conducting risk analysis for the project and providing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• 8. Keeping track of the latest construction technologies and applying them in cost estimation processes.
• 9. Working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of all estimates.

Qualifications:

• 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
• 2. Proven experience in Hospital, Higher Education, School, Commercial, Federal, State, Government, Retail, Medical, and Civil construction.
• 3. A deep understanding of the principles and methods of cost estimation in the construction industry.
• 4. Excellent knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• 5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
• 6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 7. Proficiency in using computer software for cost estimation.
• 8. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
