Job summary

Granite Construction Company is seeking an engineer-estimator to provide technical engineering and cost information, ensuring construction work meets all standards. The role supports controls for budget, schedule, forecasting, and job costing while interpreting drawings for crafts and preparing essential documentation.

The candidate will develop take-offs, material quantities, pricing data, and labor costs to support bids.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with scheduling and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Knowledge of drawing interpretation and construction materials.
• Ability to perform trigonometric calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers to ensure specifications are followed.
• Prepare and disseminate status reports, punch lists, and material requirement calculations.
• Provide technical support on project material controls to minimize costs.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders and estimates.
• Develop data for quantity take-offs, material prices, and labor costs.
• Maintain backup files to support bid accuracy.
