Job summary

The Miller Bros. Const., Inc. Class A CDL Driver supports project and Equipment Group operations in the Central Ohio Region, based at the Plain City location. You will transport equipment, materials, tools, and supplies while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, load securement, route planning, accurate delivery documentation, and coordinating with dispatch and project teams to meet changing demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL with endorsements appropriate for vehicles and loads.
• Current DOT medical certification and ability to meet driver-qualification requirements.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable Class A driving experience preferred; heavy equipment/flatbed/lowboy hauling preferred.
• Strong communication, reliability, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles and trailers to transport equipment, materials, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Review moves, confirm descriptions, locations, and delivery times before departure.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report defects or maintenance needs.
• Load, secure, inspect, and unload cargo following procedures and weight limits.
• Maintain logs, delivery records, permits, receipts, and other documentation; coordinate with dispatch.
• Plan safe routes, consider restrictions, and obtain permits as needed; coordinate with teams on priorities.
