SourceLine is seeking a seasoned heavy equipment technician in Tennessee to diagnose, repair, and maintain fleets at customer job sites and in our shop. This role blends field service with in‑shop work, requiring independence, strong troubleshooting, and a commitment to safety and quality.
You will diagnose malfunctions, perform major service on engines, hydraulics, electrical and control systems, and ensure equipment is ready for rental or deployment.
We support employers in the heavy equipment and construction sectors who need experienced mechanics to keep their fleets operating safely and efficiently. This role is a combination of field service and shop work, giving technicians the opportunity to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment both at customer job sites and in the shop.
You'll perform diagnostics, field service, preventive maintenance, and repairs on major heavy equipment brands. While much of the work is performed in the field using a service truck, you'll also support the branch with in-shop diagnostics, repairs, inspections, equipment preparation, and rental readiness as needed.
This is not an entry-level role. The employer is looking for a seasoned technician with strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and the confidence to handle complex mechanical and electrical issues while providing excellent customer service.
