Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator to operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, crane and more in accordance with safety policies and procedures. The role requires teamwork, adherence to work plans, and proactive maintenance checks to ensure smooth operations on-site.

Candidates should have at least one year of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read safety rules and load charts.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required
• Minimum one year of related experience
• Current driver’s license with endorsements as required by law
• Strong teamwork orientation and customer service skills
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
• Ability to operate equipment via levers, gears and pedals
• Ability to work independently with good communication
• Repetitive hand/arm/leg movements

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid-steer, boom lifts/aerial lifts, roller, backhoe, and track crane
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain clean work area
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor equipment operation for malfunctions
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform all other duties as assigned
