Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced equipment operator to support on-site construction activities. You will operate power construction equipment, read plans, coordinate with foremen, and ensure safe, efficient delivery of materials and services.

This role requires a CDL, 3 years of experience, and the ability to travel and work nights or weekends as needed. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and keep equipment secure while maintaining a professional, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of equipment operating experience or equivalent
• Valid state and/or CDL to operate equipment
• Active equipment operating certifications as required
• Able to think critically and use good judgment to solve problems
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel and accommodate night/weekend work as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate power construction equipment to facilitate scope of work per project plans and specs
• Collaborate with Project/Trade Foreman for scheduling and expediting materials and equipment
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Maintain fuel storage area and order fuel as needed
• Manage and track utilization of rented Turner equipment onsite and report damages
• Ensure security of equipment and work area during operations
• Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and wear appropriate PPE
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers
• Other duties as assigned
