Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, and other heavy equipment used in construction operations.

You will perform maintenance on brake actuators, batteries, starters, alternators, and other components; troubleshoot engine and electrical systems; and follow maintenance schedules. Training includes Basic Training plus Advanced Individual Training with paid benefits and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Interest in math, electricity, and shop mechanics.
• Interest in electric motors and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trucks and heavy equipment as listed in the job description.
• Service drive shafts, universal joints, brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads and high‑pressure fuel injection pumps.
