Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, and other heavy equipment used in construction operations. You'll inspect and repair engines, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulic components while following strict maintenance schedules.

Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with paid, hands-on instruction and opportunities for civilian career pathways after service.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and repair skills for heavy equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot engines, hydraulics, electrical, and steering systems.
• Interest in math, electricity, and shop mechanics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts and brake components.
• Maintain and repair cylinder heads and fuel injection pumps.
• Troubleshoot engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
