Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to service trucks, bulldozers, power shovels and other heavy equipment used in construction operations. You will learn to troubleshoot engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and perform routine maintenance while earning a regular paycheck during training and drills.

Expect to complete Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with promotional pathways and volunteer benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be aged 17–35 and able to pass a physical exam.
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard is required.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads, high‑pressure fuel injection pumps, and road wheels.
