Job summary

Thinklance LLP in Chicago seeks an undergraduate Construction Engineering intern to support engineering tasks and learn basic principles of construction engineering on real projects.

You will assist with project research, field work, preliminary design calculations and analysis, and help prepare final design plans and cost estimates. You’ll collect and maintain project documentation while following safety policies and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Construction Engineering undergraduate program.
• Anticipated graduation August 2028 or later.
• At least 18 years old.
• Interest in Construction Engineering and skill development.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
