Job summary

WSP USA offers a Construction Engineering internship in the Chicago area. You will support engineering tasks, assist in research, field work, and preliminary design calculations, and help prepare final design plans and cost estimates.

We seek an undergraduate student with a strong interest in construction engineering, capable of taking direction, and authorized to work in the United States at internship start.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Construction Engineering or related Undergraduate program with anticipated graduation date of August 2028 or later.
• At least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated interest in Construction Engineering or related field with a strong desire to advance relevant skills.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
