As a Construction Engineer, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning engineering, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are seeking a passionate Construction Engineer in the Milwaukee or Madison Wisconsin area who values collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Being the Project Lead or Assistant Project Lead on WisDOT projects.
  • Documenting contractor progress and quantities completed.
  • Performing daily inspections to verify contractor work aligns with contract documents.
  • Preparing daily construction reports with details on workforce, equipment, activities, site visitors, and progress photos.
  • Reviewing contract plans, specifications, submittals, and material information.
  • Reporting and documenting any field conditions deviating from the contract.
  • Using contract documents to monitor and document construction activities.

You will be part of a project team, surrounded by mentorship to help you thrive and grow in your career. Effective communication and organized documentation will be key in supporting project success.

Qualifications
  • Substantial professional experience in roadway/highway, bridge, or general civil construction projects.
  • Experience with WisDOT construction projects.
  • Ability to drive to project locations in SE Wisconsin and Milwaukee.
  • Knowledge of construction engineering and document control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
  • WisDOT HTCP Certifications (Portland Cement Concrete Technician, Nuclear Density Technician).
  • OSHA 10- or 30-hour training.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil3D, or AutoCAD.
