Job summary

Linbeck Group, LLC seeks an Engineer to oversee defined scopes of subcontracts valued from $500k to $10m. The role requires reading drawings, coordinating QA/QC, and managing RFIs, submittals, and expediting to meet contractual obligations and project schedules.

The position emphasizes use of Lean principles, site safety programs, and collaboration with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business and the successful completion of one or more internship assignments, each lasting 3 or more months.
• Or, 4 or more years of construction project work experience with Linbeck, an MEPF subcontractor and/or design firm, in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Linbeck Site Specific Safety Program, including BBS and Safety Walks.
• Read drawings and specifications to ensure the assigned scope is procured and constructed to meet contractual obligations.
• Create internal and external Potential Impacts to notify stakeholders of quality concerns.
• Compose RFIs that are clear and concise for contract documentation.
• Manage the RFI Log to create, monitor, and close RFIs and distribute documentation.
• Create and manage submittal logs and ensure design team and subcontractors meet schedule requirements.
• Manage the Expediting Log to coordinate material delivery.
• Implement QA/QC programs and Lean practices to reduce wastes.
