Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 0–1 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of construction means and methods for renovation of commercial and/or institutional buildings.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email, and other software used in the construction industry.
• Must be able to lift and handle 50-pound objects.
• Must be mobile and able to walk job sites, climb ladders and stairs daily to inspect work and coordinate with subs and field forces.
• Must have a clean driving record to obtain materials as needed.
• Professional credentials – EIT or AC in good standing.
• Current safety credentials – OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR.
• Current CQC certification issued by USACE / NAVFAC.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager, Superintendent, or other management roles during all project life-cycle phases.
• Create, update, and maintain project controls and schedules; track changes, RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, quality and safety metrics; manage cost and close-out.
• Coordinate reviews of shop drawings and submittals with subject matter experts.
• Assist with change management including logs, pricing, estimates, and change orders.
• Support estimating through quantity surveys using digitizers, 3D modeling, and traditional methods.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with contemporary scheduling software.
• Develop layout and CAD-based documentation to ensure proper fit of all elements.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and purchase orders.
• Produce routine reports using project management software.
• Identify potential issues and help develop solutions.
• Learn and apply contract terms and safety requirements across projects.
• Interact with supporting teams (accounting, HR, etc.).
• Assist with project closeouts and value engineering.
