Job summary

Baxter & Woodman Inc. has a rewarding opportunity for a Construction Engineer I in our Crystal Lake, Naperville, or Bannockburn IL offices.

The role supports the firm’s construction group on roadways, bridges, and infrastructure, with opportunities to work directly with clients and assist with project design. We seek candidates pursuing the Professional Engineering license, with strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, and the ability to travel within Baxter & Woodman’s service

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing or have pursuit of Professional Engineering license.
• Strong written, verbal, and computer skills; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site observation of work, repairs, and tests.
• Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors and public agencies.
• Maintain job site records including daily reports, meeting minutes, drawings, and pay requests.
• Observe, measure and document construction activities and progress schedules.
• Review pay requests and verify completed work.
