Job summary

GCS Recruitment in Oakland, CA seeks a Construction Engineer to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of fiber network construction projects from concept to completion. You will lead end-to-end deployment, manage contractors and vendors, coordinate permitting and schedules, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to our customers while maintaining quality standards.

You will track progress, provide stakeholder updates, and support testing and handoff, while identifying risks and mitigation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in OSP fiber construction, telecommunications, or network deployment.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic network infrastructure.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and construction activities.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber deployment practices.
• Understanding of permitting, right-of-way, and construction processes.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and project scheduling tools.
