Job summary

CSEngineering in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a Construction Electrical Engineer to provide electrical systems oversight and technical leadership for a major VA infrastructure upgrade during construction. You will review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and participate in weekly meetings to keep projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has six years in telecom and data infrastructure design/construction, a PE license, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years in design and/or construction of telecommunications and data communications infrastructures.
• Experience in information technology (IT) projects is critical.
• Must use OpCenter, attend pre-construction TEAMS calls, support onsite inspections and QA/QC.
• Must maintain software proficiency for producing reports and work products.
• Licensed professional engineer.
• Must be a United States Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management and technical oversight for the infrastructure upgrade project.
• Review pre-construction submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and long-lead item evaluations.
• During construction, monitor electrical and telecommunications work, maintain daily progress and inspection reports, participate in weekly construction meetings, inspections, schedule analysis, and change management actions.
• Lead electrical QA/QC oversight, support commissioning activities, identify deficiencies, assist in issue resolution, and ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and project requirements.
• Provide decisive direction in technical quality, cost, and schedule performance.

Construction Electrical Engineer

CSEngineering is looking to add a Construction Electrical Engineer to our growing team! This full-time role will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at one of its major medical facilities, providing electrical systems oversight and technical expertise throughout the construction project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Electrical Engineer (CM-EE) provides construction management and technical oversight for the infrastructure upgrade project.
• Responsibilities include reviewing pre-construction submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and long-lead item evaluations.
• During construction, the CM-EE monitors electrical and telecommunications work, maintains daily progress and inspection reports, participates in weekly construction meetings, conducts routine inspections, assists with schedule analysis, and supports Change management actions including IGEs, JIS memos, and funding document reviews.
• The position leads electrical QA/QC oversight, supports commissioning activities, identifies deficiencies, assists in issue resolution, and ensures compliance with contract documents, codes, and project requirements.
• The CM-EE provides decisive direction in technical quality, cost, and schedule performance, ensuring consistent, professional-grade work products.
