Job summary

Stryker Electrical Contracting in Palm City, FL seeks an Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for large-scale electrical projects. You will develop takeoffs from plans and specs, prepare bid proposals, and manage RFIs to ensure competitive bids.

You will interact with vendors and the construction team to verify costs and negotiate terms, driving accurate, timely estimates and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Read and interpret plans and specs.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and ConEst Estimating Software.
• Able to multitask and work independently.
• Strong communication with teams and clients.
• Experience with education sector large projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating for large-scale commercial and industrial projects with electrical scopes up to $10,000,000.
• Develop complete takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals.
• Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs.
• Post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering as needed.
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes.
• Collaborate with the construction team during project execution.
• Create, manage, and track change orders.
• Maintain well-organized bid documentation and manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience

• Strong computer skills, including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, ConEst Estimating Software
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently with limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients
• Proven experience with education sector large commercial and industrial projects is preferred
